Hi,
I'm receiving child tax credit (currently on ordinary maternity leave with first child) and wonder what I might be entitled to if I take my additional maternity leave (unpaid leave for 6 months).
Also does working credits come into it and where would I start with childcare grants/vouchers??
Just trying to suss out what's best financially short-term. I will be returning to work part-time.
Thanks

Are you single/married? If the latter does your partner earn?
If you are married you will not be entitled to anything just the usual tax credits, depending on your oh income and child benefit.
If your single then it is a different matter you could claim income support, housing and council benefit but We would need more info to help you further.0 -
Thanks for replying - yes I'm married and he works full-time.
Receiving child benefit and child tax credit at the mo. Need to inform tax credit people when I stop earning ie, start my additional maternity leave (tomorrow!)
