Firefox problem

I just updated firefox to 2.0.0.4 and now have a problem when replying to posts on forums (not just MSE). I type normal speed but then I have to wait for the machine to catch up! Takes me several minutes to type something like this.

Anyone else had this problem?

I checked with IE and its fine, so obviously a firefox issue. No other problems apart from this.

It could be that an add-on is incompatible with the new version. Close FF and try running it in Safe Mode. If that improves the typing speed, run FF as normal and use Tools - Add-ons to disable one at a time to find the culprit.

If not, it could be a corrupt profile, in which case create a new profile using Profile Manager and see if that improves things. If it does you'll have to move the old profile to the new one, as that link explains.

G-G, I tried reinstalling and doesnt make a difference.

C_M, On first run, the new firefox checked the compatability of addons and updated a couple, but I will disable them all and try reintroducing one at a time (dont run many). I can live without them but I hope my colored tabs are ok!
