How do you find who to contact storecards

Hi Folks,
Newbie here.
I took out 2 store cards in the early 2000s - one Select and one New Look.
I know it's such a long time ago,so I have no records of either and have also changed banks.
Does anyone have any ideas how to contact the above shops to see who I took the store cards out with? Plus how do I prove anything with no paperwork.
Probably bit of a long shot, but thought maybe you guys can help - thanks for any info.

P.S It was only through getting a spam letter today in the post saying they could get me money back for my PPI loan I took out for - wait for it £12,000 in 2005 - think I would remember that :eek:

Select was most likely GE Capital who are now Santander.
New Look I'm not completely clear on, these may also be Santander. However it's worth contacting them - New Look are still operating so a quick call to them may give you the information you need.Competition wins:
2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!0
