no idea - sorry - rubbish at that kind of thing... maybe the DIY board will have people who know all about that? worth going for boiling a kettle and using a flannel instead of freezing shower?:happyhear0

As above, if you desperately need a wash you'd best boil the kettle and use a flannel. Not ideal but better than nothing!
Change the title of your post OP because the people who might be able to help will probably read it and think it's a relationship crisis.

If you've got an immersion heater it's likely to be in the hot water tank in the airing cupboard.0

I had exactly the same problem last week. I assumed there would be an immersion heater on our tank, but I had never actually checked, until I needed it last week and then I found that there wasn't one. :-(
So I had to make do with the kettle for the night. Not fun.When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.0
