Debenhams online payments - grrrr!

I have some Debenhams gift cards & vouchers all with £10 on them but can I use them to part pay for online purchases? No. They only accept one online payment method (i.e. one gift card or one credit card but not both or multiple gift cards) so I can't take advantage of the Blue Cross sale without needing to go instore, which I don't have the time to do and where the chances of finding what I want in my size are slim.

Debenhams Online service are pretty useless in general tbh. The fact that you can only use ONE payment method as you've set out aboive is a right royal PITA.
Mind you if you do manage to order something don't pay any attention to their delivery times either. They say within 4 days. I ordered a dress not so long back and after 12 days it still hadn't arrived. After numerous calls to CS where they tried to tell me it was 4 days delivery from DISPATCH and it hadn't been dispatched yet I evenutally got through to a supervisor who whilst very snotty with me did refund my order. No apology though. I rechecked their website to make sure I wasn't going bonkers and it does clearly say orders will be delivered within 4 days of being placed not 4 dayus after dispatch.
Oh and they lost my sisters bridesmaid dresses that she ordered online... TWICE!Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -
Hi
Have you tried contacting the gift card helpline to see if they will consolidate the balances onto one card so that you can use it online?0 -

The last two orders we returned did not get refunded and we had to provide proof of returns in order to get our money back even though they admitted eventually the items had reached them within days of them being returned. I will never use them again. They are bloody useless and by far the worst online company I have ever used.0 -

That's exactly what happened - in a way. OH & I went to the store at the weekend and tried to pay for our joint purchases partly with the gift cards with the balance paid via credit card. Even the in-store tills couldn't cope. The SA ended up consolidating all the gift cards into one so that we could use a credit card for the balance.
And I got a reply to my emailed complaint along the lines of "sorry we don't do that at the moment". Bloody hopeless.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

I've just been told the same thing as you guys. My hard-up sister-in-law gave me a £30 token for Christmas. I'd been online several times trying to spend it and not found anything I wanted.
She asked me the other day what I had bought and was hurt I hadn't used it so I thought I'd better get my finger out. I finally found a beauty product that I like to treat myself to occasionally - for £32.50. Thinking I could just top up the card I tried to buy it. Having failed and complained I fobbed off with 'go to your local store' - as if I had one.
The crux of the matter is you can't top up and you can't get a refund on a part purchase therefore unless you can find something for the exact price of the card they are going to either pocket the difference or enjoy an indefinite interest free line of credit. Wish I could fob my bank off with that.
Has anyone tried escalating this? Trading standards perhaps?0 -
And I bet there's a time limit on them, too!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

I had £400 worth of gift vouchers (doing surveys) and cards must have been about 20 of them. I wanted to buy a computer (which i have). I went in store and the lady was great spent 30 minutes adding them 3 at a time. I then ordered the item at the store using there phone and one gift card.Jan Wins: .0
