Some fabulous quotes from their website:
Operating in over 200 sites all over London we pride ourselves in building a safe, trusting relationship with each of our clients. These include Lewisham Homes and the City of London.
Lewisham Homes and City of London will be hearing from me too.
These people may offend once, but the inconvenience of receiving a Charge Notice or having their vehicle re-positioned is usually sufficient to convince them not to do so a second time.
"Vehicle re-positioned"? Really? POFA?
Should you require references or more information about the legality of parking parking control schemes, please contact us for further information.
"parking parking control", so good they said it twice! Getting information on the legality of anything from these chancers would be like getting advice on sexual positions from the Pope!
Although it is now unlawful to remove a parked vehicle from your land, we are allowed to reposition it on the site. All our vehicles are equipped with vehicle skates. These jack up each wheel, and provided the surface is firm and reasonably flat, they will allow the operative to move the vehicle to a different position.
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: They have read POFA Clause 55(3)(b) without realising that it actually makes an amendment to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which provides for the police or local authority to move vehicles from one place to another! And on the basis of that schoolboy error, they have (or so they claim) equipped their vehicles to move other vehicles around - illegally!Je suis Charlie.0 -
""Name, Email, your car's registration number, reference number, home adress and your reason for appeal.""
That should save £2.50 from DVLAI'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
Just had it confirmed that these are not even in the bpa no matter their aos. So if they get your details it's either you have told them, or they have done so probably in breach of the dpaWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Much to my surprise I've had a reply from DVLA. They state that they have never released any data to Ace Security, and that they are aware of this company's references to DVLA, but can't comment further on an ongoing matter.Je suis Charlie.0

Hahahaha, they've been leaned on! Some updated gems from their website:
Ace Security Services is not a member of the BPA. However, this does not prevent us from issuing Charge Notices that are legally enforceable.
If only we could find out who to enforce them against!
If the charge remains unpaid for longer than 28 days, the matter will be looked at closely.
On no! Looked at closely! Aaargh, anything but that!
If necessary, details will be passed to our solicitors with a view to pursue the driver for damages for trespass or breach of contract.
This would be Mystic Meg the Psychic Solicitor presumably!
Still got this rubbish though, which proposes moving vehicles illegally:

''On no! Looked at closely! Aaargh, anything but that!'' :rotfl::rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Now make up your mind, is it answered 24/7 or not ? lolOur signs and permits display a telephone number which is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If a call is made outside normal office hours and is not answered, you can leave your details and we will call you back. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you.
