Ibiza or Crete in October

We are thinking of going to one of these places.
Wondering which might have the best weather.Ibiza is a plus because it's only a 3hr flight but if the weather would be better in Crete we would go there.
Then which would be the best resort at either of these places at that time of year.
We are in our 50's but don't like it too quiet.
Good pubs and restaurants and nice walks.
Any help appreciated.

We have been in Crete in early October twice and had lovely weather. We love a place called Koutouloufari, a lovely resort just above Hersonisos. Its just a long quiet road with loads of Tavernas and lovely wee shops.:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0

I have been to Corfu in October. It was lovely and warm but not too hot. Also the sea was warm for swimming. The only thing was a lot of the restaurants and Tavernas in the smaller resorts were closing down as it was the end of the season.

You'd think that Crete would have the better weather at that time of year, but the one time I went in October, it POURED down for days! The mediterranean can be unsettled at that time of year and the Greek resorts seem to start shutting earlier than Spain. We are going to Ibiza for a week in October (our third visit this year!) and as always, staying in Santa Eulalia which has plenty of bars and restaurants open all year round as plenty of people live there. Beware the smaller resorts such as Cala Llonga, Es Cana and Portinatx as they tend to be pretty dead by the end of October.0
