We would like to install a light/lights in our loft we have been using a work light for the past 6 yearsbut they get really hot. What would be the best sort of lights we only store bits in the loft but it is a good size and very dark! We won't be installing ourselves as useless at diy and would not attempt anything in the electrical department. Anbody any idea how much installing lights in loft would be. We have an electic socket in loft if that is any help to those who about electrics. Would like a very rough guide to cost before I get some quotes. thanls.

I agree, a strip light is ideal. I know you don't want to DIY it but why not fit a strip light with a flex down to a plug with a 3A fuse. Then you can just plug it in to the existing socket?0 -

Flourescents are a good solution in lofts, good instant light, fairly low power consumption and run at a low temperatureSignature No Longer acceptable -
