As some of you may have heard the Founders (David Brook, Michael McVay and Maggie the Welsh Terrier) of Natures Instinct left the company a couple months ago.
Although just speculation its believed there was differences within the company and certain members wanted to lower the quality for bigger profit and the founders didn't agree. In fact people have been complaining that the quality hasn't been same for awhile.
I was pretty devastated as I had been using NI whilst starting my dog on Raw. Loved how its all done easy for you and people who aren't 100% for raw seek comfort in the how its veterinary approved and all the correct ratio. Plus I find it hard to find Raw supplier in Merseyside Area as don't drive and butchers/supermarket can be expensive.
However the original founders of NI have created a new company (was speculation they may) and their new company is called http://www.nutriment.co/
Looks fab and similar to NI but alot more herbs/seeds and amazing things like coconut oil. Plus they also sponser Haatchi the 3 legged dog with a disabled owner (beautiful story and amazing dog and owner). They have just started so rolling out orders starting now.
I know alot of people feed NI on her so may be interested.

I love the branding and they seem like nice people. Costs way too much for me to even consider, though! I just can't let myself pay anything like that when I can get dog food from the butcher and other suppliers for so much less0

I agree, I have used it and have raised a litter on NI, but it is far too expensive for 4 large breed dogs. I get chicken carcasses and various bits from my butcher, and use DAF for minces and tripe.0

I feed NI but I have been thinking of taking my pair of it, my sheltie has developed a bad skin and whilst I don't know what's causing it I can't rule the food out, I'm also seeing a difference in the stools that they're producing they're no where near as good as they were :rotfl: ( only on a pet forum eh ? ).0

Hello all, I have recently started using Natural Instinct foods and must say that we are very pleased with it. It is interesting reading and hearing about people moving over to Nutriment. I have not tried their product yet as we are in the early stages of changing to raw food and do not wish to upset the diet etc. I was speaking to a friend who introduced me to Natural Instinct and when I asked her about the changes she say's that the stories circulating are false. All I can say is that we are not experiencing any change in the quality of Natural Instinct and are very happy with it. however we will try Nutriment food just for a comparison. As always keep an open mind..0

Hi. Just caught up on this thread. I am a big fan of feeding raw unprocessed food. I have been using it for 10 years on pedigree cats. I find that if you look at the price per weight (kilos or pounds) it is far far cheaper than pouches or tinned.
The key is shop around for quality suppliers. I have a supplier, Necci Game in Staplehurst Kent, who unfortunately doesn't deliver. They do minced wild rabbit for £1.20 a pound. Highly recommend them.
I have recently found another suppler called TPMS Meat Specialist who do mince lamb at 60p a pound. They are based in Reddich and do deliver, charging my friend recently £3.75 delivery. Not sure how far afield they deliver though.
Compare to tinned / pouches costing double or more. Can't fault it.0 -

I was thinking of doing the same :T, I can only go by what's happening with my dogs, I'm pretty sure I'm going to give this food a go when my current supply of NI is finished, I've also told the place I get my NI of the new one and they're going to have a look at it.0 -
I really like the look of this and have thought about changing my two to raw but this would work out £4 a day to feed my dogs, that's without shipping. £120 a month compared to the £30-£35 a month I currently spend. It's times like this I wish I had smaller dogs.0

Mine get DAF minces from raw2paw. Check out their website they deliver to most areas.
I spend around £80 per month (including delivery) for 4 Labradors.0 -

I'm lucky I've just got a couple of small dogs. I did try and 'do'' the raw diet for them myself but they were ending up with the runs so I gave up. It costs me approx £6 a week to feed my pair Natural Instinct but as I've said I don't like what's coming out the other end of my pair now, they don't have the runs but it's a lot softer and a lot darker that it used to be0
