Why don't you just install Ubuntu and Beryl?
I think the closest you will get to Beryl effects for XP is
if you buy and install Vista, but seems expensive when you
consider Ubuntu+Beryl is completely FREE:)"Gort, klaatu barada nikto"

The only other thing I can think of is using Stardock's WindowsFX and maybe with combination of DesktopX and Windowblinds. You'll get some fancy stuff but I'm not sure you'd be able to completely replicate Beryl."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
