Parking Eye: multiple "fines"

Firstly, I apologise if there's other posts that answer my question I couldn't find it. So, I got my first letter from parking eye today wanting 50 in the next two weeks from me. However I know I've done this at least 8 times since the initial date I was "caught" all after 4/5pm until after 10 (I work in the retail park). All the advice I've seen is to ignore it, is that still my best bet? Also it's free 2 hour parking so it's not like they're losing money from me taking up space :mad:

First thing: are they "in date"? You got the letter today. What is the date of issue on it, and what is the date of the alleged parking contravention?Je suis Charlie.0

Date of event: 26/06 date issued: 2/7. Parked there roughly 8 times since the 26th so expecting those letters any day now.0

Do you mean that you work in the retail park & have been nabbed by PE for overstaying a free parking allowance? Isn't there some mechanism for getting staff cars exempted from the enforcement? or should you have parked somewhere else. First stop is to speak to your employers.0

Correct. If there is no ones told me about it! I've only been there a couple weeks but I'll write to the boss see what he's saying.0 -

My Daughter had the same issue with a Retail Park when She was working at Next.
She spoke to Her Manager who got them cancelled.Search my post " PoPLA evidence - What to submit" on what is a good defense for a PoPLA appeal.0 -
Obviously getting your company to cancel those tickets is priority 1.
But just a couple of points in case that fails.
Did you not see any signs or if you did, why did you not think they applied to you? I am asking that because if the signage was inadequate, that makes a very good appeal point to POPLA.
Was there anything at all that made you think that it was free after 6.00?0 -
You won't be paying these so don't listen if the boss thinks you should! If the company don't cancel them on your behalf then you will need to challenge all the fake PCNs - but wait for them all to arrive so you only need to send one email!
Then come back in a couple of weeks (forget the 14 days thing but act well before 28 days) to tell us how you got on and how many fake PCNs arrived. DO NOT just send any old challenge as there is certain wording suggested; we do know how to play it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
