I have done 2 cruises in past years with a company that has now stopped doing them, just typical! but i wondered if anyone could reccomend another company that they have cruised with.
We will be 4 adults, 2 of which are early 20's.
thanks

I have cruised with Airtours and P & O. You don't get much more diverse than that!
With Airtours I was working at a Travel Agents and a bargain came up. 14 nights around the Far East for £450 pp. I booked it one the spot. It had obviously been loaded wrong onto our system but I booked before they could change it.
If I were to go with them again, which I would if the price was right, the only thing I would do is upgrade the cabin. We had the standard inside and it was like a shoe-box. Other than that the cruise was fantastic. I saw places I have never seen before and really enjoyed it.
Second cruise was with P & O on Oceana. This was amazing. We decided to upgrade to an outside cabin with a balcony and it was well worth it. Everything about the cruise was fantastic. We did the Caribbean and I would definately do it again.
My sister has also just come back from a honeymoon cruise with Princess, so if you need any info about them just let me know.
Also, my daughter-in-law is Premier Cruise Director for a Travel company. So if you need any advice etc, feel free to ask of PM me

Airtours stopped cruises a while back and the far east deal on the Seawing was available at around those prices(if that was the ship you took) no mistake
Anyway, plenty of cruise choices these days,
Thomsons and Island cruises are the budget UK offerings but not always the cheapest, Princess,RCI,NCL and the other lines all market the UK and have good deals from time to time some trips are also marketed in the US so will have a mix of passengers others will be mainly UK. There is Ocean Village(1&2) which are priced much better these days and do the med(east and west) throughout the summer . Carnival will have a ship ex UK next year.
Depends where you want to go and what budget you have.
There are a couple of dedicated UK websites that have more traffic for cruises,US side there are a couple that are worth looking at if you think a mainline US cruise line may be suitable.
If you liked Airtours then Thomsons,Island are in a similar bracket but there are good values and more exotic/upmarket offereings on other lines.
One of the best places for finding cruise deals is still teletext, pages 227,228,282, these are available on-line.0 -
Thats one of my big regrets I saw the Seawing Far east cruise up at £299 for 2 weeks and couldnt go on it. It was just after they got the drainage problem sorted +the reviews were not too brillaint but we went on it later around Greece and had a brillaint time.
There is talk they are buying a couple of ships...I hope so...excellent value for money Thomsons have spoilt the SunBird with its Butlins/Rep entertainment.
Also Kathy if you dont already know about it look on TIS for thier friends and family rates. If your DIL works in the cruise industry you can get all the cheap cruise you like
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0
