Haven Complaint

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this site but am interested to hear your opinions on our conundrum.
We visited a Haven campsite at the and found half of a blue tablet, suspected to be Viagra, and a lighter in our apartment as well as some pretty disgusting stains on the light fittings. We tried to complain at the time but were given the brush of by a member of staff so we wrote to complain when we returned home. They have responded with an offer of a £50 refund. My questions really is would you accept it or not? Would you push for more off against another holiday?
Does anyone have any experience of complaining to Haven and if so how successful were you? I have read some pretty damning customer service reviews about them so not sure if it would be worth the fight.
Any speedy responses would be much appreciated as they have said they will call me back.
Many thanks

£50 in cash, no harm was done, stains on a lampshade ???
I would grab the fifty quid and run for the hills to be honest.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Take the money with thanks.
Alternatively, bet very clear about what you think the 'right' price is for picking up and binning a tablet, lighter and wiping down a lightshade. £50? £100? £500? Then ask for that and put the ball back in their park.
But I think £50 cash refund is a real result. We're not talking about a premium hotel here, so set expectations accordingly.0 -
Did it mean you had to cut your holiday short? If not you still had a holiday with a tiny bit of mess in the accommodation, so I would take the £50. On top of that you have learned a lesson about going to Haven!0
