Paid debt showing as outstanding - how do I get this changed?

Hello

Hoping someone can offer advice. I had a default with T-Mobile which was satisfied via Lowell. Lowell have updated my credit file to say it's paid, but T-Mobile haven't. I contacted them and they say this hasn't been paid. I asked Lowell to contact them and they said they would, but T-Mobile still haven't actioned anything.

Can anyone offer advice as to how I can make them do this?

THANKS :) x

The default should only ever be recorded by one of them and the earliest date a default is applied should be the one which sticks
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

Sounds like Lowell have put a new entry on your credit report instead of taking over the T-Mobile one.
Ive got the same issue with DLC at the moment

Hmmm. It's certainly on there twice with the exact same start date.

I've sent a query to equifax, so i'm hoping they might offer some advice!

So far ive taken the same action as you and disputed it through the credit referance agency.
Not had a reply yet but they have 28 days and its only been about 12

I shall raise the complaint directly with DLC if the dispute doesnt get resolved via the CRA

I think you definitely need to chase it with the DCA. Assuming you did default with TM (and it sounds likely due to a DCA being involved) then they have recorded the entry correctly.

I don't believe the DCA should need to record anything to be honest.
