Concerned about Cabot.

I hope someone can put my mind at rest.
No one in my house has any substantial debt (I have a very small mortgage).
This morning I had a phone call from Cabot, (they introduced themselves as such) and I later rang 1471, did a google search, and found they are a debt collection company.
The person they asked for is a close neighbour, is there any way I, or my family, can be implicated by this neighbour ?
Personally neither I, nor my wife will ever be borrowing, but my kids will (hopefully soon !) be wanting mortgages.
I have in the past had post incorrectly(?) addressed for the neighbour, which I just shoved through their door.

No, if they are chasing someone of a different name at a different address, then there will be no impact on you.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Pretty sure Cabot are on shaky ground here.
what questions did they ask you about your neighbour?0 -
I offered some information, but he refused point blank, he said he would have to disclose me as the informant.ghostfinder wrote: »Pretty sure Cabot are on shaky ground here.
