Bit of an odd one but wondering in any sellers or buyers who've had similar experiences might know how to speed up this process.
Basically I bought a Microwave on eBay about a month ago. Tested it the day it arrived and the day after and on about 15 heating attempts it heated a glass of water only once. Obviously I contacted the seller and reported it as faulty. It arrived on a Tuesday and was suppose to be collected the following Monday as I arranged it with the seller I was free that day.
No one came to pick up the Microwave. I gave the seller a list of times I was free although these were half days, the seller did get back to me saying this was a problem. We then arranged it to be picked up the following Saturday (the seller knew I was only about in the morning) and again no one came to pick it up. The seller also claimed they'd arranged for it to be picked up a couple of other times, I assume on the half days but I wasn't told about it at the time. I was in those times but no one came.
Anyway the seller didn't want to send out a replacement until the faulty one had been picked up. I raised a dispute with eBay & informed the seller I only wanted a refund under the sale of goods act and was rejecting it as faulty. This was due to the fact I did wonder if I would ever get the old one picked up to then get a replacement.
We then after the refund went through to have it picked up again on a Monday, it was the Monday just gone. I waited in all day and again no one. I have messaged the seller every day this week & no replies at all. I've offered to drop it off at a depot but haven't had any reply as to whether this is okay.
I just want the thing gone. Has anyone had this before & how did you speed up the process of getting it picked up?
