Instead of simmering my tomato sauce for 2-3 hours i stick it in a lidded glass bowl in my microwave on high for 10 minutes
(very important to have a lid as it goes everywhere - if you have no lid use a plate on top).
I just add passata/blended tin of tomatoes
herbs - oregano/basil - whatever you fancy
glug of olive oil
salt and pepper
during the 10 minutes the sauce is cooking i cook the pasta and also saute some vegetables on the hob - courgette, carrots, mushrooms, garlic, onions - you could do some mince too but i don't think it really needs it. then just stir the pasta, sauce and veg together and grate some cheese on top.
dinner cooked in less than 15mins! :TYour home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.0 -

I used up the last of my dolmio at the weekend - but I did use tinned toms, herbs, garlic peppers and carrots as well. I simmered for 2 hours and it was better than when I do it for 30 mins, so thanks again.
Right, next time: lasagne with the leftovers - Now for my best cheese sauce...0
