Watch out! Not only have they put the coupon price down to 5p off a litre it also states that you cant use more than one coupon per transaction.

I think you're talking about 2 different Tesco fuel promotions. When baxy posted on 4/7, Tesco were running a promotion for 5p off a litre on a £50 spend. That promotion allowed use of 1 coupon and has now finished. The current promotion on 6 specific items offering 5p off a litre, e.g. Flora Buttery runs from 15/7 - 21/7 and you can use up to 6 coupons at a time at their filling station.0

To the OP, they are still offering 5p off a litre, why is that something to beware? You could buy the petrol elsewhere and not get the 5p off. It is a promotion to encourage people to shop in Tesco at the end of the day, they are not obligated to offer discounts on their fuel.0

Also good to look at the MSE article on the fuel stacking coupons. 5p sounds good but in reality its very little. A £40 fill of my petrol tank using a 5p coupon got £1.45 knocked off. So if you can use more than one coupon it would benefit you.
So when people say they travel 10 miles to get petrol 2p litre cheaper have probably wasted more getting to the petrol station than in savings!!

HI
I can't understand why everyone is slating this deal. I bought 5 items and got 25p off a litre. I got nearly £5 off through their price guarantee and as I spent over £40 got £5 off next week's shop. I also had a token for double points that I used.
The fuel tokens are worth £10.75 to me for a fill up my tank.
The double points go towards a virgin flight or upgrade.
My shopping cost £55 but I got £20 back in vouchers. I only bought things that are long lasting or can be frozen and that I needed anyway. The Cabbage
