Any recommendations? Sorry for hijacking, but I need to replace my cheap labtec headset. Not sure if I need a microphone (but would be bonus) but I'll probably be using it mostly for games."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

How much do you want to spend?
I'm currently using a pair of bose QC2's but they were £300 when I got them, they have droped a bit since the on ear QC3's were released and they are great if you travel.
Sennheiser do some great closed cup headphones and you dont need to spend a fortune. there are loads of options check out headphone world0 -

A little out of my price range
. I was thinking £40 or £50 max. "She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

PX100s do sound good but their open design might cause annoyance to others.0

I use Grado SR60 headphones for listening at home. They are about £75 and are absolutely fantastic. They are a bit bulky (and daft looking) for portable use.
I use Sennheiser PX100 for listening out and about. £25 - £30. They are almost as good as the Grado.
I use Shure in ear phones for travelling on planes as they shut out most external noise and don’t bleed noise to disturb my neighbour. £75
You won’t go far wrong with the PX100 at under £30.

I use these for my decks. Not sure if there what your after but there the cheaper model of what a lot of DJ's use so if they prefer them I suspect they must be good. Never had a problem with my and every detail can be heard with them.
I use this for my decks. Highly recommend them
