Private parking charge

Hi can anyone advise me please,
My son recently parked in a pub car park whilst he was using the pub,
He did not notice that they have now introduced a parking registration system which means he should have entered his car reg inside the pub. He has now received a parking charge notice.
Should we reply or just ignore it there are many forums advising both courses.

has he spoken to the pub's management, our local has a similar set up and they are able to cancel tickets. If he has to prove he was there, have they cctv or has he any receipts of bank card transactions for proof? just a thought, new to this site so hope it makes sense.

I had a PCN last year for 'unauthorised parking' and chose the ignore option, the letters got more and more menacing and then stopped.

Maybe an actual human looked at the photo they sent me and thought he's not actually parked, he's just stopped as there's a ton of people in the road and he doesn't want to run them over.

I got just two letters from doing this in the Co Op last October and have heard nothing since. Shame. I was looking forward to ignoring these chancers for a lot longer but they just gave up. Ignore, there is sweet fanny adams that they can do.

You can ignore them, they play some sort of tricks to gain money .
