They appeared to get a solicitor who said don't, but they ended with you may be taken to court...:(Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
They seemed to get most of the message about 'not paying' in there, but then started confusing it by saying you should appeal, and then checking the CAB.0

They got the message over that these were not fines, were invoices from a private company and you still didn't need to pay until you lose at court.
The case where the ANPR too the first exit and 2nd entrance as being an in and out was an absolute disgrace on the PPC's part.0 -
They could have done with an hour long programme devoted to PPCs rather than just five or ten minutes but hopefully tens of thousands of unsuspecting victims suddenly became aware that they had been taken in by this scam and if nothing else will be more aware of what to do if they are targetted again. The fridge is empty, the walls are damp, there's no hot water

I too was disappointed with this, they failed on so many levels to get the message across. They even failed to mention POPLA is invalid outside of England & Wales!!0

Being extremely careful of how I phrase this post - in this direction there be dragons...
One sincerely hopes that CAB have updated and expanded the advice that was previously available from them.
EDIT: (Cross posting with Orrin) - And the number of companies who appear to want to ride both contract and contractual charge horses keeping trespass up their sleeves just in case things go pear-shaped. And how on earth can you describe this as an industry.Where is the industry? And where is the product?
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
