Hi, I have a default on my credit report I had 6 in total Ive had 5 removed, the whole 6 of them are in my first name but a total different second name I think someone used my details after I left the address.
The one I cant get rid of is Virgin Media does anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of it, they want 5 years of address but I did live at the address so they said I couldnt get it off.
I have action fraud looking into it but virgin media wont even reply to emails, I waited 28 days then a further 72 hours for a reply and nothing its constant calling
Please help if u can
Thanks

What is the account opening date on your credit file?
What date did you leave the property?
Did you register on the electoral roll at your new address when you left this property?
Is the date of birth on the account correct or incorrect?
What correspondance have you had with virgin so far? (no point emailing you need to send in the post).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

If the record isn't in your name then the CRA should not be putting it on your report, no matter whether it is possible ID fraud or not. No excuses. Only debts in YOUR name should be on YOUR report. Which CRA is this>?Still rolling rolling rolling......

At a guess this name is down as an alias? Which would explain why it shows on the file.
As the alias is probably created by this account then need to get the alias corrected and so the account removed.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

The opening date is 03/08 and default date 06/08
I left in 01/08 and I never went on the electoral roll until last year so I cant even use that
,
I said to virgin I would have been 17 at this time and they just said it dosent matter surely the only give accounts to 18yr olds? Maybe not I guess, but its my DOB too.
Ive been calling them like every 2nd day to see what their doing dont get very far tbh they are shocking, they havent even replied to the fraud team at credit expert within 28 days
. I did write them a letter too but nothing, they are a total disgrace 0 -

At the end of the day, you need to refer this to the information Commissioner's OfficeIve been calling them like every 2nd day to see what their doing dont get very far tbh they are shocking, they havent even replied to the fraud team at credit expert within 28 days
. I did write them a letter too but nothing, they are a total disgraceYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0
