What skirting board is this?

We have skirting all round our living room. We are in the process of removing out fire surround and we need some new skirting but I don't know what the name of the skirting is or where to get it. The height of this particular skirting is 17cm.

just take a sectio to your local builder merchant or timber supplies

Yep - it's "ogee" - very often comes double sided with "taurus" on the reverse. Very easily available but take a piece into B&Q to check type and size.

Having tried and failed to match some ogee skirting in our house, most designs are very slightly different so make sure you take a sample piece with you. If you can't find exactly what you want then some wood yards will cut wood to match. It is however very expensive if you only want a small piece.
