changing mind to another house but offer accepted?

    Lots of people withdraw offers for reasons many and various. What I would say is if you've found another house you prefer you'll never be satisfied with the one you've offered on.

    If it were me, personally, I would probably withdraw and go for the 2nd. As others have said, the only downside is the financial costs incurred so far and the possibility of being gazumped on property 2. But hey, it's your home for the next however many years, you need to be completely happy!

    In terms of the mortgage, from my experience, it was a simple matter of (my broker) completing a change of property document and passing that to the lender. I understand that's a formality rather than a fresh application. The EA may well give you an earful - I've had rows with EAs (I put the phone down on one of them) but it's YOUR money and YOUR choice. They only get shirty because they see their commission sailing away on a breeze ;-)
