Ooooh can I befriend your CSA buddy?!

I see why you're only getting that amount... when you're back to work, you'll receive it all. I should imagine they wont let him get away with it if the Government are wanting the money... it may probably be different if it's an irate PWC!

    Does he see your child?

Lol she only did it because she was working her notice ready to start a new job in a different line of work!

My MP's chasing up the maintanance irregularities amongst other things so that will hopefully move things along ready for the July payment. It's not like they can't find him having taken two payments already huh?!

He does see our son yes but is a bit useless about it. I actually WANT him to be MORE involved with our child because I believe it's in our child's best interests but he's very selfish and lazy sometimes. See my thread on the family board about childcare dilemma!

Yeah alot of men are - out of sight out of mind. It's hard enough seperating from a childs dad.. and more so when the child doesn't get to see them often.

Also, when a child has their Daddy on a pedestal... it breaks their heart when their Daddy doesn't want to know so much.

I've been really lucky on that score and remain optimistic that in the years to come, our son will just turn round and say "your loss, we've got each other thanks".

My son has really started to go off his Dad recently because of the way he upsets his precious Mummy. He is okay when he's gone with him but when Daddy comes to collect him, he stalls going as long as he can and brings his shoes to Mummy to put on etc. At the meeting I called a few weeks ago to discuss returning to work full-time, Dad and I yelled at each other at one point and guess who little man ran to fling his arms around, scowling over his shoulder at Daddy? Says it all really.

Their loss entirely. Does this upset his Dad?

Nope, he doesn't appear to even notice or understand. Well, I'm not the one who's all alone and living with Mummy and Daddy at 34yrs old so what do I care huh?

You should be getting ten pounds per week - what reasons have they given you for the lower amount?

None they said that is all anyone on IS gets.

I've come to understand the majority of the benefits and maintanance rules that are applicable to my situation; it's all the **** ups I can't for the life of me fathom.

As I haven't received any maintenance since April though, what do I care anyway? I'll be back at work by the time they process another payment.

Good luck, but I would defo call them and query the amount as you should be getting a tenner a week so they owe you for past payments!!!

Ironic isn't it, that for those PWC who are expecting to only be temporarily on IS, it is financially far more profitable for them NOT to chase up maintenance payments/arrears until they are back in work ... when they need every penny, they won't get it, when their household finances are eased, they get to keep it all.
    Integrity is a dying art!:p
