Frankie & Benny's Alcoholic Pitchers

Just a heads up. If anyone goes here with friends, looks at the selection of pitchers where it says you have a choice between a 2 person jug and a 4 person jug (no small print underneath), well just so you know the sizes are exactly the same! The difference between the two is that the 4 person jug has more alcohol in it, but not more cocktail to share between more people. You get 2 and a half glasses worth of cocktail out of both but the 4 person jug is stronger, despite absolutely no mention of this anywhere on the menu and the difference between them being outlined as a matter of quantity...

Did you raise this with the bar staff when you receive a jug that is meant for 2 people?

We did, that was when the manager explained to us that it was our mistake and our misunderstanding for not interpreting "4 person jug" as "this one is the same size but has more alcohol in it". I believe his exact words after disputing it for a good 10 minutes were "i see your point, but you're wrong" which makes about as much sense as their drinks menu...

So really, it's not a jug for four, its a jug of doubles for two?
How stupid. If you couldn't get four glasses out of it, I'd be pi**ed. (or not, apparently...)

Yeah we definitely couldn't get 4 glasses out of it. The bit I find dodgy about the whole thing is that when making the choice between the two you think it's based on quantity, but it's actually about strength, and unless you ordered the 2 person jug and then a 4 person jug like we did you wouldn't even know!

Places like Wetherspoons give you the option of making pitchers of cocktails stronger by opting in for extra shots for an extra £1 or whatever it is, but literally the only information you are given with the Frankie & Benny's cocktails is 2 person and 4 person. Nothing about more alcohol! We didn't want stronger cocktails, we just wanted more of the original!

    Anyway, just spreading the word...

Can you order a 4 person pitcher if only two are dining? :D
