Halifax

Hi,

My partner applied online for a halifax current account, it offered £100 if you used their switching service thing, which he did, he gave his email address as what he would like to be contacted on yet he still hasn't heard anything back.

He applied Thursday morning. Does anyone know how long it takes to find out if you've been successful in opening a new account?

Thanks

I got the £100 almost instantly, before any direct debits were switched. I'd give them a ring maybe?

If he has other products with Halifax (e.g. credit card) it will show next day when he logs in to their system. If not, I'd give it a week then call to check status. I got the £100 bonus right after I paid in £750, not sure if there was any connection with that.

It takes them 5 to 7 days to open an account, if you only applied last Thursday then I would expect to hear something either by this Saturday or early next week.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both.
