Advice on Vancouver holiday

A friend is off to Canada in September for 3 weeks, staying in Vancouver for 3 days, then travelling around the rockies, and would like some advice please.

Does anyone know of anywhere to get reduced tickets to main attractions, ie Grouse mountain, calapino suspension bridge and any other attractions anyone knows of.

What is the weather likely to be like, what kind of clothing should be taken?

Any dining recommendations?

Just any advice in general please.
Thanks in advance.

My girlfriend and I spent two nights in Vancouver in April and saw a lot of the city on foot. I don't have any advice on deals on attraction or Sept weather but for food highly recommend Granville Island market for lunch -- loads of stalls selling all kinds of great stuff. We had perogies and took some sushi away for a snack in Stanley Park. We then had a lovely dinner at the Raincity Grill overlooking English Bay, a very nice spot and good value we thought. For the Rockies drinks and light snacks (pizza, sandwiches) in the bar in the Banff Springs Hotel is a must do and not too pricey, and we stayed in an amazing room in the Park Place Inn in Jasper!

I was there in early October and the weather was very 'British'. ie. Overcast, cool and constant threat of rain! So waterproof clothing definitely needs to be included just in case (and warm clothing if they are going far into the mountains).

My dining recommendation would be the Spice Gallery BBQ Buffet at the Empire Landmark hotel. We only found it by accident (having missed the last tourist bus back from Stanley Park), but it turned out to be a great choice (and reasonably priced).

Where are they planning to go in the Rockies? It's a big area!!

For attractions, you can 2 for one coupons from Vancouver 2007 Entertainment coupon books. The book is $46 and has lots of dinning and attraction coupons. You can email me. Vancouver has the lots of good Chinese and Japnese Food. If you are downtown in Robon street, go Hon's, the food is cheaper than McDonald, it serves big porton.
