Frozen Vanquis Card

Hi

Vanquis have frozen my husbands card after he did a balance transfer from his Tesco credit card to clear his balance they say he paid to much they want proof of where the money came from. He told them to cancel the card they havn't and every month we get a statement and have to pay £1. Now his annual fee of £25 is due and we will have to pay this so it doesn't affect his credit rating. Can anyone give help and advice as what to do please we really want the card cancelled. Thanks

Provide proof of where the money came from, get the credit back and the balance to zero and then request the account is closed. It won't be closed while there is any sort of balance, debit or credit.
  • Hi thanks

There is no outstanding balance at all and I am sure they can see the money came from Tesco
