B&Q multi-buy

Hello.
Just thought I'd mention it on here as it could/will save money.
Twice now I've been into my local B&Q and bought plaster on multi-buy, ie but 5 or more and get x% off.
The saving is per bag but both times when checking the receipt they had only applied 1 saving of £1.72 instead of 5 x £1.72 and next time 6 x £1.72.
They will only do the refund at the store named on the receipt which is a pain as there are 3 B&Q near me but only the furthest sells the plaster I needed!
Simon.

So why leave before you check your receipt or alternatively remind them before they check the items out.0

B&Q will have it right, you will have it wrong.
Check the wording and recheck your sumsI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

B and Q have it wrong...
on a lot of thier products with a 25% multibuy discount they need to scan a special bar code 5 times to get the right price, if they scan the normal barcode 5 times you only get a smaller discount.
happened a few times to me on plaster board, always resolved at the till, and always due to the server not being of the nomal B&Q quaility (young sunday workers).0 -

Bought the 2 lots of plaster about 2 weeks apart. Got home after 2nd lot to find receipt was wrong so went back to get it sorted, which they did, their mistake obviously.
Found 1st receipt other day and checked it, found same error so had to go back again, they sorted it as it was their mistake.
Knowing B&Q it'll be a policy to catch out those who don't check the bill.0 -

I always go on a Wednesday and take my dad out for the ride
Don't seem to pay as much if he hands his card over!
Thanks for the info on the barcode, I'll make sure they do it right next time.0 -

Then I take it back, and to the other poster, my good lady happens to be 1 of the "numpties" they employ, I'll let her know.
I only mentioned my original comment as I get to here of all the loopholes they have left that benefit the buyer, and believe me there are a few bloomers, but it saves me a good few quid.
She has never mentioned any that go the other way, there can't be too many of them.
But I have to say in defence of all genuine money savers, if you walk out of a shop having allowed yourself to be over charged for an offer that you ought to have watched through the till, then who's to blame?I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
