How do you remove super glue?

Hi moneysavers.
My wife has managed to get a large blob of loctite plastic super glue on our kitchen work surface. I've scraped most off and now left with a thin layer. I've tried acetone but it never touched it. Is there anything that gets this stuff off without damaging the surface? Where can i get the product from? The surface is the standard laminate/formica type. Many thanks.

Nail varnish remover? .......try a TINY wee bit first though....Thats how I get super glue off my fingers.

Thanks but I think that most nail varnish removers are acetone based, which is what ive already tried as per my OP. Is your nail varnish remover not acetone?

Thanks. May order some if no other ideas work by the end of today. Would prefer if i could just pop to the shops and get some though.

i bought superglue from a pound shop - big card with lots(about 12) of tubes on it
and one of the tubes was superglue remover. my daughter used it up though when she got it on her fingers...so i don't know how it works on hard stuff.

Thanks. I bought the poundland stuff as suggest above. It smelt like my wifes nail varnish but stronger. I guess its more concentrated than nail varnish remover.
