Could anyone tell me if there are any restrictions on applying for a DRO if you have previously (4 years ago approx ) declared bankruptcy?

there wont be any because you went bankrupt.

If any credit was taken out before discharge and the rules were not followed in that sense, these debts may not be cleared by a DRO.
But if all was taken out after discharge of your bankruptcy then there shouldnt be restrictions imposed just because you went bankrupt 4 years ago

    Thank you wba31 :)
  • I have taken an individual to Civil Court, Small Claims Track and won the case. Total of £3,000 for work I carried out to her property. The Judgment Debtor is now applying for Debt Relief Order to avoid paying the amount. 1 Will the County Court Judgment override the DRO? 2 How can I contest the DRO.

ccjman, I suggest you start a new thread as you will probably get more response that way.

    Hi,
No, the DRO will override the CCJ. You can only object to a debt going in to a DRO on certain grounds, such as fraud.
