Default Question re Dates...

Hi there,

After a looooong time things are on the up, I hope, and on checking my credit report I seem to only have two bad accounts remaining.

The usual story applies here, bad decisions leading to bad debt leading to bad problems and so on...

However I entered an IVA in 2005 completing via a full and final in December 2010.

I have the following two items that I need some advice on still in my file.

The first shows a default date of 22/07/2007 and a date satisfied of 13/02/2012.

My questions on this one are :

1. When does this one fall off my credit report?
2. What is the 2012 date about, everything was sorted out well before this date.
3. Is there anyway to get the dates sorted as to the actual dates that things happened, such as default in 2005?

The second bad debt on my file is this one...

I don't really understand this one as it was included in the IVA, but it does not show as defaulted. So going by the dates does this one drop off in December 2013?

Finally this second debt, is it likely to prevent me getting a mortgage? Which is hopefully my next step, I'm hoping that the fact that is not a default may be somewhat slightly better?

Thanks for any and all advice in advance.

Apologies for the links to the pics, this was posted from a tablet.

Both should have been defaulted in 2005 when your IVA started. As it stands the first will fall off next month and the second in December.

If not corrected the 2nd will still be a negative factor on you getting a mortgage because of the substantial late payment history.

    Thanks for the reply.

The first one I will let work its own magic.

What is the best course of action for the second. For some reason it looks as if that company did not default me.

Is this something I should persue them to do or...

    Thanks again.

ICO default guidelines state that when a creditor is informed of the IVA they should record a default and backdate it to the start date of the IVA. So complain that they have not done that. If they correct the default date to 2005 that will result in it coming off your report.
