medion laptop problems

I have a medion laptop mim2060 in white,i have had it say 18 months maybe less maybe more cant remember but its not too old and not used very much, well when i first got it thought notthing of it as laptop was only used when desktop was done or being fixed etc,but when i started up the laptop it had a message when booting up which would never boot up right saying i have a bios com time date problem, well i more of less have to change the date and time,as if i dont its a problem getting windows to start up and also when i finally get on the time and date is wrong and effects the software and internet when online cause of an old date.
I looked online and they say its a small battery that keeps the time and date ticking away when laptop is switched off.
If i leave it switched on with mains and shut down its ok,so maybe yes its that little watch type battery, but in saying that its pretty much new, well was new when i got it and only been used a few times since its purchase.
And my last laptop did not have this problem and my desktop many years old also does not have this problem so weird it is this already.

I have also just the other day have a new problem, its not charging with my mains lead, and will not turn on with power button,it only seems to work now with the mains lead, would my battery have now packed in or this time date thing have something to do with it.
I cant beleive this time date thing from new was a problem but for battery also to maybe need replaced it cant be,its only say been used say 20 times since new.
anyone know about laptops and the medion reply to this as it seems to be getting worse as time goes on.
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
