Santader - Thankyou

Hubby withdrew cash from our local post office mid-day (ish) yesterday and paid some bills etc. as usuall.
Tonight at 6.10pm he got an automated message from their fraud department - well by 6.30pm his card was cancelled and we was told they declined a transaction in New York today:mad:
So well done that bank:T
xx

Oh why did I just look at my local newspaper online?
There is a warning about a scam involving a different bank which uses automative calls to get details - oh lordy I really hope we are not victims, the last time this happened was in spain a few years ago and his then bank called in the same way and sorted everything very quickly.
    Fingers crossed and all that.
    Sorry for the ramble.
    xx

If in doubt, give the bank a ring in the morning :)

It will be kosher, had the same myself, they found 4 fraudulent transaction in 10 minutes - all top-ups to O2 mobiles! Refused the transactions, cancelled card and issued a replacement, all within a 10 minute call.

If you've any concerns then call their fraud dept directly on 08459 724 724 (debit cards) or 0845 602 1582 (credit cards)
