selling T-Shirts online

Hi,

I need advice. I was thinking about selling printed T-shirts online as well as providing a printing service. The printed ones would mainly be of music bands, etc.

Is there really a market out there online? I tried for a bit it was a crape attempt but not sure if it will kick off. any one got any thoughts

My first thought would be copyright...are you going to approach all the bands themselves to gain permission to use their image or name on T shirts? Getting that permission might be both time consuming and costly.

copyright will drive you into the ground....best come up with your own unique design or topical sayings/statements printed on them where you wont get burdened with copyright issues

firstly thanks for the responses. THere is no issue with copy right as I know where to get them from and they are official, etc. The problem is you often have to buy in bulk which is really the problem as I dont know if they will really sell, and my last attempt to sell online (even if it was pathetic) did not really take of.

to explain my previous attempt was to make a simpel site via mrsite, etc which didnt really have a great feel.

I'd say there's a market out there for producing limited custom runs of t-shirts, ie MOQ of 5 or 10 or so, marketed at Stag do's, local clubs, businesses etc.
