Selling old tins of paint at car boot?

Hi, I'd really appreciate any wise words with this.
I have some old tins of paint, one or two full and never opened, one or two quite/almost full and I wondered if these were worth including with other stuff I'm already planning on taking to a car boot sale.
I thought I'd research this on here and generally on the Internet to see it has been discussed/mentioned and all I could find was a site called London Car Boots (not my area) listing tins of paint as something you aren't allowed to sell.
Apologies I can't link from the phone I'm typing this on or even perhaps find any better links for now.
Does anyone have any guidance they can offer on this? Is it generally a rule that you can't sell paint and if not, do you think it could be worth it?
Does paint 'go off' after a while if it has been opened or would the stuff where a little has been used, still be okay? It's at least two years since it was used. Is there a certain appearance/consistency the paint has once it has gone off/spoiled?
Thanks to anyone who can offer me any words of wisdom.

Can you donate it to a charity or community centre or something?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0

Thanks, I could definitely look into that if I'm unable to sell it, I'm selling what I can to help with charity fundraising in a set amount of time so am most interested in making a few quid from selling it if I can, there's also a local Facebook group if a car boot is out.0

Thanks Dawn, what made me think of it more was a lady asking if a tin of wood treatment from ikea I had was paint.0

Some recycling dumps allow people to browse the paint and take what they need. Other towns have charities or local organisations who do the same sort of thing. Only oil based paints are classed as hazardous waste, but even so, I've seen quite a lot of paint at car boot sales.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I have seen them to at boot sales - I would check with the one you are going to attend to see what their rules are on it.Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0
