New BT Account - WLR3 - Nightmare! Please Help!!

  • I've had no joy either. I called BT again yesterday (and was in a queue for 1 hour and 10 minutes) only to be told by a very rude customer services assistant that it was tough luck really. I've been referred to engineering (on 29 May) and they have 10 days to deal with queries. :mad:

    After nearly 2 weeks my line finally became available last night!!

    I have been in close discussions everyday with the BT CEO team after emailing Ben. They seem to get people moving albeit very slowly, but you have no waiting when getting through to them.

    The woman who dealt with me is arranging a partial refund and compensation for me today. Will let you know how much I get back later.

    BT are still awful but I am at least happy for now.

    My only advice to people in the same boat email Ben.

    I have to agree, lets hope he dont get so many he stops doing the great job that Jill should be doing.

    I wrote to Jill, never had a reply and they never had any record of the letter, Ben on the other hand replied almost instantly and I got a phone call the next day from his team.

    Jill needs to have even more sex :)
  • I'll email Ben now. I'm now on my 21st day without a phone and since Friday my Broadband (through Orange) has also stopped working. I suspect that the two are connected. This is becoming a total nightmare and I'm facing spending another, seventh, hour on the phone on hold trying to sort it out. I don't think I've ever encountered such shoddy service in my life.:mad:
  • We got the phone back today - a mere 22 days after it was disconnected - but with a completely different phone number. It's not what I want but at the moment I can't face another hour on hold before being connected to an ignorant and rude BT operator.

    But if you have a new number you may have to pay a new ISP connection charge and then you could end up with two ISP accounts and have to pay both or pay an in contract penalty.

    I think you should make sure of what your possition is with your ISP.

  • I think I'm just going to cancel our broadband account with Orange as we are moving soon (we're long out of our contractual obligations) and start again at the new place. Thanks for all the help.
