Unknown Elecricity Supplier
I moved into this flat 2 months ago. The previous tenant didn't cancel ANY of the utilities. Bills kept floating in and I started to call them and say this person has moved and I am the new tenant. This has worked for Gas and Water, electricity however, just flows, no one sends a bill or a reminder.
What should I do? Sign up for an account with just anyone? Waiting out and see what happens (I don't want to suddenly have no power).
I guess I might have fallen through the cracks and simply get free electricity for as long as I live here?
Please advise!

Bextech's post will help you identify the ele provider... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=5350859&postcount=4
I wouldn't rely on gettting free ele as you will probably just get a large bill in a few months time.0 -
call the supplier explain open account in your name give meter reads they will backdate an estimate 2 months. Do this asap otherwise who knows what estimated bill will arrive through the door in a couple of months. Yuo have inherited the supplier at the address and are responsible to pay them0

Most people do, but some people don't bother. The bills will still catch up with them in the end0
