Big house or Small house

Big house, small willy - everyone knows that
.
Go for location.Mornië utulië0 -
Thanks all. I think you have helped me decide what my heart was telling me already. Location is more important than a little extra space.
Both houses are realistically big enough for me for the next 3-4 years, and I can't really look ahead further than that as I have no idea what will happen with house prices, not to mention my job or relationship.
BTW the area I am talking about is Catford / Honor Oak Park (which is not as bad as you think - honestly. There are some nice parts and it is gentrifying quickly).0 -
How interesting, this is exactly what I'm weighing up at the moment. We're looking at a 3 bed flat in zone 3 (Earlsfield) or a 4 bed house in zone 4/5 (Worcester Park).
Brizza - Interestingly we were looking at Earslfield too. We started looking at Tooting Bec (where I am now) and Tooting Broadway, but Earlsfield is much nicer and has lovely Edwardian housing. And to get out of London at weekends (at least if going SW) it is in a good location.
In the end we only switched to looking SE London as the prices in Earlsfield and Tooting had jumped too much.0 -
15 mins walk means you end up skinnier and fitter too...also means you don't have all the losers who hag about/ pass on the way to and from the train station!
i'd go for bigger!!!
15 mins is nothing in the grand scheme of things and is a chance to have some quiet headspace as you walk, which you don't get alot these days!!0 -
Bigger house means more cleaning and more space to hoard a load of stuff you don't need.0
