Roughly how long do the Solicitors for the buyers and sellers take?, between when the buyers solicitor has written to the sellers with a few things raised on searches etc?.
I am waiting for Exchange at the moment and just wondered if I should be expecting a call any time soon or is it more likely weeks?.

An average purchase takes about 8-10 weeks from contracts being issued to completion.
You can only exchange once everything is ready - all enquiries answered satisfactorily, searches received and fine, mortgage offer received and conditions dealt with, you're happy with everything and have signed and returned the contract and your deposit and a completion date has been agreed.
If there is a chain then everyone has to be ready before you can exchange contracts.0
