Just to add if you haven't sent it yet, Parking Eye are known to cancel some fake PCNs when the appellant can show receipts of about £30 or more. If you can do so, enclose receipt copies and tell them to cancel it or your next letters will be complaints to the retailers on site and to the Managing Agent/Landowner of the Retail Park.

Saves you having to bother with POPLA if PE cancel it on seeing receipts.

I haven't put my appeal together yet, but given I just challenged PE initially, is it worth doing this and sending receipts before trying POPLA appeal? They came to over £80.

Yep, writing a POPLA appeal is a hassle you don't need so it's in your interests to get it cancelled. Use the phrase 'I was a genuine customer and copies of my receipts are attached which came to over £80...'

Nowt to lose and they may well cancel it. Keep your original receipts of course.

  • They must be on form for Kingston Retail Park as I received a "fine" in the post this morning, it has photos of me arriving/leaving, I'm arguing the case that I went to pets at home, drove through the back gates to Tesco then realised I'd forgotten something at pets at home, drove back up & left at the front entrance... Hopefully that'll stump 'em!!! :)

So, before sending in my POPLA appeal, I chanced writing back to PE along with receipts showing spends at the nearby shops. Day before the POPLA appeal was due I got a letter stating simply that the charge was cancelled.
