PPI Lloyds Bank

Hi All
Just a little bit of advice needed, my partner received a letter asking if we want Lloyds to review the sale of PPI on a loan she had a few years ago. Gives us a deadline to contact them by 8th July 2013, so going to have to do it today if we do it. It states on the letter that the PPI on this account has not been reviewed, however it has over 12 months ago we completed the questionnaire sent it off and it got rejected is it worth us replying for this?
We think we have a case as she was on a temporary employment contract at the time the loan was taken out, so it couldn't of been done properly as she wouldn't of been entitled to claim it anyway. However we did mention all this in are original claim last year is it worth doing it again?
I'm just concerned that it says it hasn't been reviewed yet.

The rules allow the bank to reject any new complaint without even considering the content if they have already dealt with the complaint. However, banks are not great at keeping records and may not match any new complaint to the old one.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Each policy is different - it may be that temporary workers were covered by that particular policy.
Write to them and ask for a copy of the policy booklet.0 -
How odd i got letters from them few weeks back was quite surprized. I sent it all back giving my details work, sick pay etc. as i was with the nhs at the time of the loan application i have now had 2 calls for more info on it. I was covered through sick pay for almost 12mths. Hubby and myself had a good monthly income at the time. In his job he has the full lot. Death in service etc, full sick pay. I was on mat leave at time of application so was a guaranteed pay anyways for 12months. Mat leave terms and condiions. He basically took my info, read it back. I remember i could not continue online i had to call a premium number. Was advised it was best i took protection insurance i went along with it. I defaulted with the loan 2yrs later and never was help offered as tbh i hadnt a clue. I also refinanced the loan at some point. All a mess really. I would love the ppi to be removed from the loan and give me a lower amount to pay back. I dont want it paid to me at all. And then maybe it may seem a better looking future as in i can pay it off. Who knows.0

No my partner rang at the time of being finished up on her temporary contract and asked her questions and they said you cant use the insurance due to you being temp. We never thought anymore of it at the time and just accepted it. But anyway we've sent it off now see what happens the second time round.0 -
They will attempt to contact you when investigating your complaint so DO ring up and make sure they have valid telephone numbers and don't just ignore withheld/unknown numbers when they ring. Some phone providers block these types of numbers as an option so check this is not the case.0
