Currently there are apex returns at £22.90 a head on the 0620 from Yeovil and returning on the 2020 or 2120. If you want to leave earlier (that connection would be a bit tight) it's £36.60 for a standard single out and £22.40 for an apex single on your return

Given that a standard open return is only £73.20 I don't see how you can have been quoted £108.

There are also special fares to 'London International' that are only valid with a Eurostar ticket. You'd need to ask at Yeovil station if these are available and at what price - they are not available online. They have the advantage of (usually) being at a reduced price but with no peak hour restrictions.

Don't try and do this over the telephone; just make sure you get straight down to your local rail station and show them your Eurostar tickets OR booking reference and ask for this London International CIV. You are allowed to book it on the day of travel but I would not recommend that.

Please leave some "feedback" on how you get on with your purchase and, more importantly, what you were actually charged as this all helps other money savers.

    Hello

I live in Yeovil and know full well how inadequate our train service is and how expensive it is if you need to travel outside of the times permitted with a network card. I often tie myself in knots working out the cheapest way to travel.

Have you looked at Megatrain availability? I know that the outward trip will probably not be early enough but you may be able to purchase a reaaly cheap return fare and combine it with a cheap single outward fare.

    Good luck.
