More hotmail issues than normal?

Thanks for the heads up re gmail peeps. When I get a mo, I am definitely going to try this.

I think someone at Microsoft must've been reading our comments. This morning I checked emails (via Outlook's website as usual) and they are running the best they've run since black Monday, or whatever day it was when they ruined Hotmail. I clicked, the emails showed straight away. I could access them quickly and easily. Then I switched to another account, (while I still flaming can :mad:) and that also worked like magic. Sigh! If only they could make it that stay that way :cool:

Yeah same here Blulu, i'm clearing them as fast as they are coming in just in case it goes wonky again later!

My Hotmail goes funny frequently. When sending comp emails, it looks like it hangs but when looking in sent items, the email has sent. Always check just in case you dupe yourself

You could always try Mozilla Thunderbird (its free), I installed it as Outlook didn't come with the new version of Windows. There are a few differences but its easy to pick up and I've been happy using it and I've no complaints of reliability.

I'm also using Mozilla Thunderbird (as of yesterday!) to display my outlook e-mails as I read a comment elsewhere on here recommending it (thanks to whoever it was!). I've been having issues for a couple of weeks and was away at Glastonbury last week (with my winning tickets! )& without internet access & came home to a huge backlog of e-mails which were taking forEVER to load! It would have taken me days to read through them all! Using Mozilla Thunderbird I was able to speed through them in no time (no winning e-mails though - LOL!). Might be worth a try if you are struggling and don't want to lose your e-mail addy.

I hate outlook. Often won't open, you delete e-mails and they come back to your inbox, you press send on an e-mail and the page doesn't change and you press send several times and nothing (you then give up and look in sent items and it has been sent several times). It sometimes says you have e-mails when there are no new ones!

Friend sent me a selection of photos from an event I was at over the weekend, and it showed an error when I tried to view them as a slideshow.

It was finally working today...

It just takes so long to do anything! :mad:

They;ve been having lots of problems since they switched to Outlook - I tweeted them the other day and they said they are working 'to fix latency issues'.

Been much speedier today though!

Does Mozilla Firebird look like the old Hotmail please and can you forward your hotmail messages there?

Anyone else's totally stuck today? I haven't been able to log in at all. I've tried different browsers and different computer but nothing works
