Order Date on Samsung Cashback

Hello all,

I have a ongoing situation were I guess i'm asking for anyones opinions on this.

I ordered a Samsung fridge freezer from pixmania.com/uk, I had a lot of problems getting the order through but managed it late on the 30/6. The problem being when I received the order receipt the date was 1/7 because apparently pixmania.com/uk system is in France who are 1 hour ahead.

The reason this is a problem is because Samsung were offering cashback of £50 on orders made before end of June. I clearly ordered this before end of June, I have email confirmation received on the 30/6 I even have a paypall confirmation that payment was made on the 30/6 but not a receipt/invoice which is what is require. I phoned both and Pixmania are saying they won't change the order date as they work on French time, whilst Samsung said they an order with a June date.

I have emailed and am hoping for better responses. Essentially I will cancel the order if I can't get the £50 but would prefer a simple resolution, any advice/thoughts would be great fully received. Should I be able to get the £50?

What time did you receive the invoice? If it came in an email that is dated June rather than July then Samsung might accept that. I doubt they are contractually obliged to though if their terms and conditions say they need an invoice dated in June.

invoice email came in on the 30th. So it is dated the 30th.

In fact I sent a email querying it on the 30th and a response email from pixmania (standard we will deal with your query in 24hrs) also on the 30th. Plus paypal email on the 30th showing payment went through on the 30th.

Its quite clear I bought it on the 30th but what is required is invoice/receipt dated 30th which I don't have.


I guess im also asking if I bought something from a foreign supplier shouldnt they provide an order saying something like 30th UK day.

No requirement at all for a supplier to do that. They will simply work on the timezine where they are located.

Personally I would try and cancel asap. Maybe also have a google for reviews of pixmania as a company and their service...

reviews seem ok. I don't really have a problem other than the date.

Its clear to me I should be entitled to cashback, I purchased it on the 30th, its just an admin paperwork problem I might not be able to get round which just sucks. Its such a rare weird situation I can hardly find any advice on it and both parties seem clueless.

Reviews seem to be positive or awful, nothing much in between. Personally I wouldn't give them any of my money.
