egg/barclaycard upheld but

I've had a complaint with fos for Egg/barclaycard for 13 months and finally got a letter to say barclaycard want to make me an offer to settle my complaint and can take 8 weeks for them to calculate the amount. My only problem is I took the card out in 2001 and cancelled the ppi at some point years later when I relisted I was paying it, I don't recall exactly when. Im sure I read somewhere they can only go back as far as 6 years worth, is this correct?

If they uphold your complaint from 2001 and don't have details anymore they'll offer an estimate of what you may have paid. If you have documentary proof you paid more then of course you can contest this.

Hi I am new to this site so not even sure what I am doing! My question is I had a few Lombard Tricity accounts a while back - does anyone know what I should do and who I should contact regarding PPI claims? I know they were taken over but unsure by whom- any help would be wonderful

Hi Calw, I remember our complaints were going through at roughly the same time, although I took a little longer to go to the FOS. Do you mind my asking on what grounds the FOS upheld your complaint? Oh, and awesome news that you won your claim.
