Help to Buy Scheme - Experiences

Hi,
I'm a FTB and have been looking at a number of properties that advertise the Help to Buy scheme along side to help purchases.
Just wondering that people's experience of the H2B scheme is - Does it complicate the mortgage application?
Is it difficult to be accepted for the help?
Any advice/guidance/experiences greatly appreciated!!

Hello,
We have just bought using Help to Buy and it was really simple - we had a great financial adviser who took lots of time to explain how everything worked and we did our research as well. As it was a new build property the process was really speedy and quick, mortgage application was pretty easy too, it felt like we had to provide a lot of documentation upfront but this is probably quite standard these days, with money laundering laws and such. We were accepted fairly quickly as well, perhaps as we had the 5% deposit ready to go and our finances in good shape.
All in all we're delighted with the experience, it has been fairly stress-free and the scheme has enabled us to buy a property we simply would not have been able to ordinarily.0
