Chessington or Legoland for under 4s

Can anyone advise me on which theme park offers the best day out for 2 girls aged 2 1/2 and 4? Looking at either doing 2 days at only one of the parks or possibly doing 1 day in each. do both parks offer enough choice for their age?
Just need advice as we'll be driving from Sunderland so want to make the right choice.
Thanks in advance

Legoland. They are too young for rides at chessington. But at legoland make sure you have 1 adult per child, as on most rides they need an adult sitting next to them

Legoland, without a doubt, there is also a preschool offer if you sign up to ichild.com.. It's £17 for 1 adult and 1preschooler valid in term times only... Fab value for money!!,

Chessington is my favourite of the two as the zoo and sealife bit is good and there are usually animal shows and Madagascar live show with photo opportunities. The queues also seem much less than Legoland. It is also a smaller park so easier to get around. There is an offer for a parent and child aged 5 and under for £18. Mon-Fri during school term time.

I'd seen this preschool offer and thought it was such a good price and ideal for us. I kept checking the t and cs as seem too good. I love the idea of the theme park, zoo and sealife all in one park. My little girl loves Madagascar and the Octonauts. I can get tickets through work cut price for both Legoland and Chessington so just trying to work out the best value deals with accommodation.
    Absolute headache:)

You could try Premier Inns and Travelodges for cheaper accomodation. Also a bonus of using these is that kids eat the buffet breakfast for free with paying adults. There is a Holiday Inn right at the entrance of Chessington. If you waited until the school holidays were over you would have quiet days at the theme park and some better deals on hotels e.g. Thursday 19, Friday 20 Sept Chessington premier Inn has family rooms for £39 per night. premier Inn Ascot (7 miles from Legoland) is £39 per night during a lot of September.

I'm going next week and have looked at premier inn and travelodge and the prices arent too bad. Travelodge is only £104 for 2 nights but it is just off the M3 so noisy though it is in the middle of both parks so may be a good option. I'm going to investigate the Holiday Inn in Chessington itself as I can get a discount through work but may still be more expensive but the hotel looks a lot nicer than the travelodge.

I wouldnt normally consider a hol in July but want to take the kids away as we haven't done much since their brother was born. At least it will be before the school holidays:)

Its worth waiting for travel lodge sale ..we did our 2 nights travel lodge at windsor (legoland 3 miles down the road) was about £35 for 2 nights (3 children..one was an infant) and used the 2 for one adult tickets you get on cearal boxes..the whole lot was just under £100 for 2 nights b and b and one day at the park x
