Was anybody else there?

We went for a quiet weekend away, 4 adults, 2 children. We just use the park as a base and then go out during the day.

Not that I would expect much from a cheap budget break, but this was ridiculous.

We were indeed there too Liam. Our first ever visit with our 2 young daughters. Like you, we went to use it as a base and use some of the kiddies facilities. Our appartment was surrounded by them and yes, it was totally ridiculous - almost as ridiculous as the Pontins fob-off! Our annoyance was that it was allowed to get that bad and that they were not dispersed during the day ( or that they were allowed on in the first place).
We will write in but i don't imagine that it will get us anywhere!

I have emailed my complaints, but I don't hold out hope for any sort of reply.

Looking at the pontins website it says you need to complain to the park manager, or complain in writing. Emails will not be responded to. Even though we were told to email complaints.

I have been before, I knew what to expect with the rooms and facilities.

But Pontins basically allowed an organised football hooligan meet up to go ahead.

They must have been rubbing their hands together to let out an extra 20 or so rooms, but didn't think about all the families that left and all those that won't go back.

me and my family were also there, I have created a group on facebook for other guests to become united in our attempt to be refunded. I know its a long shot but other groups have made the news before and maybe this will be enough for them to admit fault and compensate us all for this incredibly awful time. please join me in my group titled "Pontins Southport Refund" sorry i cant provide a link as I am not allowed as I am a new user

Pontins are a digrace and will take anyones money with no regard on who it may affect. There have been over 200 students from the Liverpool /Ormskirk overflow .staying at pontins for nearly two years . That can get fresh. What was the reason that a large group of Polish where there . Was there a reason or jut a sharra

It's the same at Morecambe when they're playing at home to Accrington Stanley.
Stanley fans invade the town 3 days before the game, take over Regent Caravan park, and don't leave until Monday.

It turns out it was an organised event by polish football fans that now live around the uk. They have an annual get together.

According to the polish fans websites, this was organised over 2 months in advance and pontins knew all about it. There were even plans for a BBQ for 180 people!

All this at a family holiday park. There was no warning to any guests, no increase in security, nothing.

It is probably just luck that something more serious didn't happen.
